year restaurant veteran, Chef Joshua Carter King has a passion for creating
restaurants that feel warm and full of life. Chef Joshuais the owner and
creative force behind the Central bistro
and lounge located in the heart of Vancouver’s celebrated West end
at 1072 Denman Street.
As a youth, the German born Joshua was an aspiring architect and designer who turned to the culinary world in 1978. Joshua’s European influences are apparent in his work and goals for his restaurant.” My goal is to create a space that is reminiscent of Old World Bistros, I want a space that is for everyone, gourmet dining experience for all to enjoy!” says Chef King.
With Central, he is achieving his goal of success. It is favorably sited in English Bay, its guests are as unequalled as is its menu, the interior is charming and eclectic and the food is first-class.
